Sumit Mallick is a Researcher, Poet, Social Worker, and Traveler. Sumit joined his PhD program in 2022 at Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). At present, he works as a Senior Research Scholar at the Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Centre, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, India.
At Yenepoya Research Centre, he works on Hematopoietic Stem Cells Tropism towards cancer and cancer stem cells, and to decipher how these HSCs alter cancer metabolism. He utilizes human cord blood and apheresis-mobilized blood-derived hematopoietic stem cells to achieve tumor tropism.
Moreover, he is also working with Division of Clinical Nutrition, Faculty of Science, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, The University of Oslo (UiO) Boks 1072 Blindern, NO-0316 OSLO, Norway.
He loves playing the flute and violin in his leisure time. Additionally, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
